Dear Comrades,
On the 49th anniversary of the re-establishment of the Communist Party of the Philippines, we of the Freedom Road Socialist Organization send our warmest greeting and reaffirm the long and militant friendship that exists between our organizations. Your accomplishments over the past 49 years are legion, and we are confident you will win still greater victories in the coming years.
U.S. imperialism and its puppets are doing everything in their power to block the progress of the revolutionary process in the Philippines. They will fail. Under the leadership of the Communist Party of the Philippines, the national democratic revolution with a socialist orientation is bond to triumph.
FRSO will continue its efforts to oppose U.S. intervention in the Philippines and we will strengthen our solidarity efforts with the national democratic movement. We reject the attempts by U.S. imperialism and its lackeys to criminalize the fight of the people of the Philippines for liberation with lies about 'terrorism.'
Finally, we appreciate your efforts to strengthen the international communist movement, by upholding Marxism-Leninism and many contributions of Mao Zedong.
The people of the U.S. and the people of the Philippines share an enemy in the monopoly capitalists that rule the U.S empire. Every blow landed on U.S. imperialism weakens our common enemy, and represent steps forward in our common struggle.
We understand that the future holds many challenges. And we are sure that the future is bright.
