Statement of Freedom Road Socialist Organization
It is with great sorrow that we have learned of the passing of Ali Qased, a man who devoted the whole of his life to the emancipation of Palestine. On behalf of the membership of Freedom Road Socialist Organization, we send our condolences to his family, friends, and comrades.
Ali Qased stood as a powerful example of everything a person should and can be. He was a tireless teacher who worked to educate the younger generation of Palestinian activists. At moments when others wavered, he was firm on matters of principle and never lost sight of the goal of a democratic, secular Palestine. He was determined to remove the burdens of Zionism, imperialism and reaction from the backs of the Arab peoples.
In the final analysis there is no doubt that all of Palestine will be free. The Zionists and their U.S. backers will meet with total defeat. The contributions of Ali Qased towards the liberation of Palestine will live forever.
